Chapter Meetings:

Regular chapter meetings are 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on the fourth Monday of each month from September to May. Social time begins at 5:30. The first hour we have an informative program with a guest speaker(s), and the second hour is business for members and any prospective members.

Some of the various programs presented include:

  • A Woman Who Made Folsom's History - Charlotte "Charley" Parkhurst
  • Heart Health
  • The Cornute Legacy - Routes to Roots - a Daughter found her connection even though adopted
  • Guide Dogs for the Blind - from the Cameron Park Puppy Group
  • Local Pioneer Cemeteries - how to clean and preserve grave markers
  • Scrimshaw and the Whaling Legacy
  • Fire and Emergency Readiness
  • History of Folsom

DAR After Dark summertime get togethers:

During the summer, when regular meetings are not held, we gather socially once a month at a local restaurant in El Dorado Hills. We invite you as a prospective daughter to come meet our members and hear about joining our chapter. We socialize between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. each month, June, July and August. Please contact us for exact dates and location.

There are plenty of ways you can be involved as a member of DAR from home, online, or at events. Even your own volunteer work with your church, child's school or sport, and with the elderly all support our efforts for DAR Service to America in our community.

Please contact our registrar for more information and specific locations.
