Educational Resources |
The National Daughters of the American Revolution are proud to support and assist teachers educating our youth. We provide numerous lesson plans and tools on our website under DAR Educational Resources. Lesson plans include Native American Indians, botany, writing, women's rights, environmental sciences, art, and lots more. We invite you to explore these lessons plans and hope they will inspire you to share them with your students. Each lesson plan has been reviewed and approved by teachers. Use keywords dropdown to search lesson plans for different grade levels and topics. Search plans by keywords to identify those lesson plans that are appropriate for a variety of audiences with minimal teacher adjustment for age differences. Lesson plans are available for PK to 12th grade. Take advantage of these as they are great for the classrooms and home schooling. Explore some of the other Educational Resources the DAR has to offer at our website. |
Genealogy Resources |
If you're serious about joining the DAR, start with this Pedigree Chart. IMPORTANT! - YOU must provide documentation (i.e. birth certificates, marriage certificates etc.) for the FIRST THREE generations of your line (you, your parents, your grandparents). We cannot do this for you, but our chapter registrar may be able to point you in the right direction to find what you need. Contact us to learn how. Wherever you are in your genealogical discovery, the DAR can help. Start your search at DAR Recommended Online Resources, including resources for minority research. The DAR Genealogical Research System (GRS) also includes free online databases containing information on American Revolutionary War Patriot ancestors, descendants of those Patriots, as well as the vast array of genealogical resources from the DAR Library!
